Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
From when I was young, they have begun. This classroom and this school are the exact class and school from which I enjoyed my childhood and learned from a teacher that cared. Teachers weren't the reason I chose to teach but children and students are. My diverse group of students have shown me everyday that they are willing to learn and despite any challenges they continue to persevere. They work together, try together, and win together.
They're happy.
They're fun. They're one! Each student has a different unique personality and I never want to look over what each student has to offer. Growing up in the same area as my students, I understand that dealing with family, school, and outside influences poses a challenge but I intend to do everything I can to make sure they keep those beautiful smiles on their faces everyday.
Curiosity kills the cat but generosity makes you better. Each of my students brings me something everyday. Whether it is a picture they drew or a rose they saw at a store. If generosity were a subject, my students would have an A+.
My Project
With so many distractions outside of the classroom, it’s best to have no distractions within the classroom.
Using the organizational bins will help students keep their centers work and materials neat and organized.
Organizing the classroom makes it easier for students to not only move around but to also focus and work smoothly. There are little aspects in a classroom that helps complete a class. It is the behind the scenes work that goes into a classroom that makes the functionality of a class progress and shine.
A pencil sharpener with an efficient speed helps a teacher more then people think. Students use so many pencils during the school year that having a great pencil sharpener is detrimental.
Using whiteboards during a whole group assignment will have students more excited to learn and to feel more comfortable when interacting within a group. The whiteboards come in an organizational bin that also will help with keeping the classroom organized. Students thrive when their environment is thriving around them. A clean, organized and flowing environment helps to maintain orderliness and structure in the classroom which makes it easier for students to learn.
