I teach at a Title I school, which is high poverty, and we are a 100% free lunch school. Many of my students live in apartments or places where they can't get outside to play. We also have a high percentage of non-English speaking students who don't get to experience many physical activities. For most of the students, the only activity they receive is at school. I am hoping to teach them some physical activities they don't get to do every day.
Many of my students struggle with academics and focusing in the classroom. These movement math skills card will be a great help in their learning. They will be able to practice math skills in all the grades, and use movement to help them remember.
Helping students move while learning is a fun way to help them remember, and give them a positive experience.
I will be able to use this in the gym for PE, and the classroom teachers will be able to borrow it to use in their rooms for extra help. Please help my students to have a great experience in school by combining PE and math.
