My Students
My students are an extraordinary group of special needs students with various talents and abilities. They have may different interests ranging from music to art. Some of my students come to school ready to sing and dance with their friends each day. Please help to make this experience easier for my students.
My students live in a large urban district, and all of the students receive free lunches because they live in a low income area.
School is one of the few place that my students get to socialize with their friends.
My Project
The goal of this project is to bring movement into the classroom through the use of technology. Taking the lead from my students, who love to sing and dance, I want bring more opportunities for my students to sing and dance everyday. The students will be allowed to take turns during the week picking a song and singing and dancing with their friends.
It would make it easier for the students to do so using a Karaoke machine.
This would get more students on their feet moving and socializing with each other. Listening to a story or a song on the CD player is another way in which the students can interact with each other. My students need to work on their social skills and these activities will help them a great deal.
