This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This year, my students have found a love for reading, and reading to themselves is one of their favorite activities. We have begun to explore chapter books and making our own book choices. I would love to continue encouraging my student's reading by making it fun and exciting. We borrowed flashlights from another classroom to read in the dark. I loved seeing the excitement this activity brought to my students, so I am looking for flashlights (and extra batteries of course!) to make reading fun! This activity will make for bright readers in my classroom.
