Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with about 50% of our students receiving free lunch. The program is fairly new at our school and students are craving more culture and language exposure.
My students are inspiring, creative, full of life, and eager to learn.
They become global citizens as soon as they step into the classroom. Cultural days in our classroom are the best. Students await for the extensive culture exposure including games, food, stories, activities, and crafts. They are inquisitive and like to explore their world and those around them. I hope to provide rich opportunities to continue to grow in a creative and positive way.

The best way to learn about another culture is by experiencing the culture.
The goal of Spanish club is to provide as many authentic opportunities as possible for students to interact with Spanish-speaking cultures.
Creating artifacts and providing opportunities for students to experience Latin American culture in a real way is essential for becoming global citizens. The balloons and glue will be used to make piñatas. The tissue paper will be used to decorate the piñatas and the candy to fill them up.
