Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love the energy and diversity that I see in my students every day they step into my physical education class. The different types of personalities that they bring to the classroom creates such a warm, inviting environment for everyone that crosses paths with them. They're filled with so much motivation and love applying their skills they've acquired in previous years to whatever activity we do in PE. Teaching them is a joy for me and each year I'm filled with so much happiness that I've had a chance to make a difference in their lives.
My Project
The materials I'm requesting; mesh jerseys, spot markers, training cones, foam balls; are inexpensive and will give me the ability to play so many fun activities with my students in PE. At a low cost I will be able to use the requested materials for a variety of activities that will keep all my students engaged all of the time.
With budget cuts, PE materials and equipment were the first department at my school be deleted and I'm trying to provide my students with the best opportunity to enjoy PE and health and get fitness back into their minds and everyday lives.
I'm so excited and ready to begin the school year with new materials. I will use the materials I'm requesting to do multiple cardio and flexibility exercises for the students. Some of the activities will include sports such as flickers and pickers, crazy dodgeball, bowling and many other fun lessons.
