Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students are from low-income families. We are a Title 1 school. However, they are motivated to come to school everyday to learn and be positive. My students are very active and bright!

They enjoy music and working with groups to foster their own learning.

In our class, we build skills to help our community. We support our social emotional learning by building relationships with our peers, working with different groups, and integrating learning for success throughout the day!

My Project

The materials that I am requesting for my students will help them enjoy their music time during these circumstances!

Students will get a chance to learn how to play the recorder as we learn together via Zoom during their "shelter in place," especially because schools are being closed due to COVID-19.

We would like to implement music time everyday despite the distance learning so students will continue to be engaged. This time would also help my class with their social emotional needs during this time. We just need your help in getting this project funded for our students to appreciate music!
