This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach students that come from a variety of different backgrounds including those from low-income families. I also teach students from military families who experience many transitions. The students that I serve are affected by the many changes in life, such as homelessness, deployment and a stressful home life to name a few. At school, they feel safe. My students are eager and ready to learn each day they walk through the door.
I want my students to be lifelong learners who will always strive for success.
I am a math teacher but I also teach life lessons.
My Project
Power Pen word problems flash cards, flex space wobble cushions, daily word problems and books about fractions are math tools that will really benefit my students. Flex seating allows students to be comfortable while learning. We struggle with word problems and the workbook with reproducibles will allow me to tailor lessons to fit the needs of my students.
Who does not like a good book and how cool will it be to learn about fractions while reading a good book?
Fractions is one of those math skills that students have difficulty learning. I believe the books, will truly help to support my students understanding of fractions along with what they will be learning in class.
