My students need time rulers because we struggled with elapsed time this year. Also, any help with fractions is incredibly needed. Sidenote, I have wobbly third graders, so the stools are a must!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a lovely class of twenty-three 3rd graders in Santa Fe, NM. My students come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures and this helps to diversify my teaching to cater to their academic needs.
At the end of last year, our school was at risk for possible closure due to a budget crisis that our entire state is suffering from.
We are currently rebuilding the community of our school to show that we deserve to continue serving the diverse students in our small surrounding community.
My Project
First off, I've taught time for two years, and elapsed time is a very difficult concept to grasp! I've used a form of these rulers in my class, but they are flimsy and not as good as they can be. My students really loved the way these Time Rulers were laid out. I see success for my students using these.
Tools, like the Time Ruler and Fraction Equivalency Boards would be a great addition to my classroom to really engage my students to the best of their ability!
Fractions were a huge deal and my students tried so hard to understand the importance and the concept of equivalent fractions, but I did not have the right resources to be of service to them.
I have some wiggly worms! The stools would be a match-made in heaven for my class! Right now, I have utilized milk crates as a form of flexible seating. These stools would be much more comfortable and would be such a blessing for our classroom. Allowing students flexible seating creates an inviting atmosphere for learning.
