Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see my students faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. One hundred percent of the students receive free breakfast and lunch due to their socioeconomic status. Despite the many challenges they face, they come to school ready and eager to learn, to be loved, to be accepted and to be in a safe place. I want to help provide a welcoming environment for them, but I need help!
My Project
I strive to make learning fun for my students. By getting these learning games, they will be encouraged and motivated to keep learning as well as keep wanting to come to school!
Having essential supplies is something our school struggles to provide, so your donations go a long way to providing a complete experience for students in my class.
My classroom theme of superheroes strives to make each student feel special and the different decor, games, and art projects also help me point out the student's strengths.
When learning is engaging, the students and I love to meet up every day for new experiences.
