Help me give my students some exciting texts about Colorado. These books are fully digital and user friendly. With them the teachers can highlight essential concepts that better meet the standards required.
I teach in a neighborhood school where I see all 415 students weekly. They are energetic, loving, bright, and inquisitive. My students love opportunities to collaborate, create, design, read, ponder, and discuss matters relevant to them.
Each student brings their own unique passions to the library and I offer them opportunities to embrace and learn from those passions through hands-on unique lessons and discussions throughout the year.
We use technology and maker items to enhance our learning, and we enjoy doing it all from a literacy perspective. My students are all incredible individuals who deserve to learn how to grow into life long readers, learners, discoverers, who will one day improve the world we all live in.
My Project
The textbook my students use to study Colorado is dry, outdated, and often only provides a limited perspective of historical events. These ebooks will provide the kids with more exciting views of Colorado with a more well rounded exposure.
The books range in topic from the economy in Colorado, to famous Coloradans, to the varied cultures that have influenced the state and the incredible wildlife that can be found there.
Each book is a multi-use perpetual book, so all of the students can access it at the same time for whole group studies.
