This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I need some new, fun, additions to chemistry to further inspire and motivate my students.

My students are amazing!

Chemistry is an elective studied by grade 11 and 12 at this Northern California public high school. It is a very popular course and my largest class has 33 students. Most students aspire to go onto college, hopefully they will continue to study chemistry!

My Project

The Periodic Table on display in my classroom is so old it only goes up to element 114 - scientists are now up to at least element 118! Hence, I need an up to date one to share with students. Students love to use technology in their learning so I would like them to use digital pH meters as opposed to the traditional paper strips. The other requests will add to the fun of chemistry and inspire students in their studies.

In times of massive budget deficits I cannot request the genre of materials I am requesting here from my school district.

These items are for fun and excitement. They are not necessarily vital to student's education, but they are critical to inspire and captivate them.
