My Project

I want to make my classroom feel like a homey place for my students. I teach a diverse group of high school students who all come from different backgrounds. My hope is to be able to create a classroom environment that is cozy, welcoming, and open for all my students. Students deserve a space that is comfortable and feels secure, and many of my students do not have that place outside of school. With these supplies, I'll be able to make a room where students feel able to be themselves.

With the independent reading books, students will be able to select books that they personally enjoy and connect with.

The lamps, tea kettle, and tea bag holder will offer softer, warmer lighting that feels more comfortable, and having tea available for students gives them autonomy and ownership in the classroom. The conversation starters are great options for quick community building.

My classroom is ready to become the space my students need, all I need is your help! Your donations to this project will help my students feel like there is a place for them that is secure, welcoming, and comfortable.
