My Project

Another school year is about to start! A class full of students will start school eager to learn. Students are all unique, and their interests differs, but year after year, one of the students' favorite activities is listening to stories. Favorite stories can be read time and time again, building vocabulary and reading skills as students are entertained and introduced to new concepts and ideas. But with so many other subjects to teach, we cannot spend the whole day reading. A listening center can help alleviate the demand on time and give the students what they love and need.

A listening center will give my students opportunities to listen to stories multiple times, enhancing their comprehension and reading skills as they build their love for books.

We will initially read and discuss a new book together as a whole class. Then, students can independently listen to the book again during center time!

Books are such an important part of a students' lives. Thank you for helping my students assess them as much as possible.
