My Students

I teach at a Title I school where all the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are in kindergarten and they are so eager to learn every day! They all come from different backgrounds and opportunities but in my classroom they are all equal and I love seeing them work together. They love helping each other out and never hesitate when a fellow classmate needs a hand. Their willingness to want to learn really excites me for what's to come as I go into my second year of teaching.

My Project

My students are in need of listen and learn centers to help improve their phonics skills. In Kindergarten, it is imperative to build up on fundamental skills like letter sounds, blends, and digraphs to get kinders to begin reading and improve on fluency.

Having listening centers on hand that focus on these reading skills can help tremendously in their beginning stages of learning.

Students can work independently and it can be differentiated to their differing learning styles and levels. It can be difficult trying to scrounge for resources that fit each level. Having these kits that are ready to go can help cut in that search time so much.
