Help me give my students a kidney shaped table to sit around with their teacher, work together, and be engaged in the lesson.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students live in a low income school district, and each year more and more cuts are made to their school, greatly affecting the resources and supplies we have.
Our students are lacking room to move and function in the classroom, due to high class sizes and splitting our classroom when we do not have substitutes.
The students also receive help from the special education teachers and aid, and currently do not have room to do this. Please give the students a chance and an equal opportunity by donating to these basic necessities that will be used daily in our fourth grade classroom.
I am asking for a kidney shaped table where my students can receive the support they need. Whether it is time with the special education teacher or regular education teacher, the students need a place to gather and learn. They often work in groups or are pulled for support as a group, and they currently do not have an area big enough to do this. With a kidney shaped table, students can gather with an adult and receive the support they need. We often have to split our classrooms due to lack of substitutes in our school district. During this time, students are placed in another classroom in their grade, which becomes overcrowded and the students do not have a place to sit. They often sit on the floor or share a desk. This table would allow 6 students to all have a place to sit while sharing our classroom. This gives all students a chance to learn and grow each and every day.
Please donate to this project.
My students are counting on you. Each and every day, I try to create a learning environment that gives them a fair chance. These items will only help me reach this goal. Thank you again for your time and commitment to students and education. I promise this donation will be used daily in my classroom.
