Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach elementary-age students in grades kindergarten through fifth, that speak English as their second language. They are extremely hard working and very eager to learn. While English can be a very challenging language to acquire, they come to class excited to improve their language and work hard to meet their goals.

In English Language class we strive for excellence in reading, writing, speaking and listening in English as a second language.

Through learning and working together, students push each other to succeed.

My Project

The use of Raz-Plus will allow my students to access materials at their independent levels and allow them to work through materials at a pace that is best for their learning. We will be able to work together, remotely to enhance their reading and vocabulary proficiency. Students will have access to reading materials that will allow them to further improve their English acquisition. The ELL Edition of this program focuses on allowing students to become competent while utilizing tools that will assist them with development of their English. Vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and speaking will be addressed through use of these platforms.
