Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher of Autism. I presently have 6 Kindergarten students, who will stay with me until 2nd grade. My students vary in their abilities and skills sets. They are sweet and loving and call me "Mommy" most of the time.

My students are very intelligent, but struggle with comprehend and focus.

I am looking to add to the class library books my students can relate to that we enhance their comprehend of book elements and the world in general.

My Project

I have three learning groups in my classroom and each has skills sets that they are presently working to master. I have selected items I believe will enhance the learning experience and they can have a little fun as they learn.

My first group is working on learning letters and sounds, I selected the Alpha-Bots for them because I feel it will provide a fun incentive as they learn.

My second group is learning position words and rhymes. The games will surely be a fun way to learn. My third group is working on sequencing a story, so the cards will help them understand sequencing before we transition to sequencing a story we will read in class.
