We are part of a large Title I preschool that celebrates inclusion. I teach 3-year-olds who love to learn and melt my heart every day. It is my life long goal to see each student succeed to their fullest potential. The work we do in this classroom is building social skills and accessing general education content in different ways.

The students in my classroom are working on varied skill levels with many acting as role models with their peers.
My Project
I had to completely change my classroom for face-to-face learning; its layout, the items present, and overall space. I can not use all my standard chairs unless it's for a child who needs special seating due to their disability. My students are very busy and need designated seating at each center. I am asking for a few alternative seating selections. This will allow my students the ability to join activities successfully while having their sensory needs met. I have several students who enjoy music, but my current CD player is broken, and can not be accessed with shared headsets. I am asking for a new radio that can have multiple headsets connected at once. Music is very soothing to a child with Autism.
Having fun and learning while staying safe is my main priority.
With the risk of getting Covid-19, I knew that we would have to use materials we can disinfect daily. Getting more items made with heavy-duty plastic will allow for easier and effective cleaning. Having a variety will also allow me to split the materials between my AM class and my PM class without cross-contaminating. Our gross motor room is no longer available for use due to Covid-19. When it rains or is too cold outside we will need to have gross motor in our classroom. Believe me; 3-year-olds need gross motor time! We will need to have items that the students can use within the classroom. A mini basketball hoop will allow for that gross motor play. My goal is to create Curious and Confident learners!
