My Students

I am lucky to teach art to fourth and fifth graders in the morning and kindergarten and first graders in the afternoon. We do many different types of projects to create a well-rounded art education experience. It is magical watching a student create new projects from their imagination. My school is next to a reservation so we serve many Shoshone and Arapaho students. We serve students from various backgrounds and walks of life. I strive to make the art room a safe place where my vastly different students can come together to create masterpieces.

My Project

We need quality printmaking supplies to make awesome artworks in our elementary school. Gelatin printmaking is a form of monoprinting, meaning each print you pull is unique. No two prints are the same. The emphasis is on the process of creating and experimenting rather than the final outcome. To start, you need a gelatin printing plate which we currently cannot afford and need donated. These gel plates are amazing because you add regular acrylic paint and use stencils to create unique and interesting works of art. Your donation will allow my students to experiment and develop critical thinking skills. Please consider donating to my classroom to provide my students with a unique and enriching artistic experience.
