My Students
Most of my students are eager to learn French. They participate by answering and asking questions. My students also give suggestions and make recommendations for fun activities that will spark their interests.
My students may be down financially but they are not down academically.
Despite their financial obstacles they try to defy all odds by getting a good education. They try as best as possible to come to school as regularly as they can. They believe that education is of paramount importance in ridding them of a low-income lifestyle. They aspire for the best and for that reason, for the most part, they try their best to succeed.
Their eagerness to learn has definitely surpassed my high expectations of them. They are just amazing. Each day brings forth a new, exciting and different experience with them.
My Project
I have been using Discovering French for the past three years in my French class. However, as the year progresses, I tend to have fewer and fewer textbooks. This year especially I was unable to give students a copy of the textbook to take home.
For this reason, often time my students are unable to complete assignments.
In order to complete their assignments, they have to take pictures of the pages. Therefore, having these textbooks, my students will be able to have a copy at home from which they can study and do homework assignments. Hopefully, I will see improvements in their grades.
