Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We live in the tip of Texas where poverty limits students' abilities. Many of them come from low-income households but this will not hold them back from being the best they can be in our classroom and know that they are special and can do whatever they put their mind to. Even though these students face these hardships daily, they are also very hardworking children with many dreams and goals.
My students are always curious about learning.
My students love to ask questions. They like to play and dance. They love hands-on activities. They are all unique. They are very helpful, understanding and respectful of each other. When someone needs help or does not understand, they always explain and teach one another.
My Project
My project will allows my students take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them.
Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
