Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our middle school is building a visual arts program. For many of our students, this is their first experience learning art practices, and their first exposure to artists and artistic practices.
As the school's art teacher, it is my mission to provide students with exposure to multiple artists, art practices, and artistic ideas.
I am working collaboratively with other teachers to gather supplies, create cross-curricular lessons, and create meaningful art experiences for our students.
Your donation to this project will help purchase materials for supporting our students' explorations of the arts.
Our middle school is Title I, and most of our students are bused in from outside our neighborhood. For most of our students, this will be their first experience using these art materials, and exploring their creativity.

As we build our art program, our students want to see examples of artwork and need visual instructions that can survive multiple classes.
By donating to this project for a lamination machine and lamination sheets, you are helping to expose our students to artwork, examples, and instructional materials that can be viewed and handled by multiple students.
Having the resources to laminate a wide variety of teaching materials will keep us from needing to print individual copies for each student. Having reusable materials means that we can more easily build our library of example artwork, tools, and techniques.
