My students are from a low-income, poverty community. The parents struggle to meet the daily needs of the students let alone any extras. They support the education of our students, but just can't afford to offer any extras for the school.
My students love to learn and broaden their knowledge base.
They work hard to learn the material that they need to pass the state mandated test. These students are working to achieve more than the opportunities they have recently been given.
My Project
My students are 1:1 in the class. We work most days on the device so they need a way to charge their device throughout the day. We currently have multiple small surge protectors plugged into each other so that we can charge devices through the whole room.
The students need to be able to make changes and adapt their social contract throughout the year.
We need a large dry-erase board that we can change throughout the year to help us make and reach goals. The students help create this contract so they are held accountable. The students need to know that we can adapt to new circumstances.
We are needing sheet protectors for the students to place important papers that they need in so they will last longer. The students are able to write on these as well. Sometimes our classroom gets cool so we need a little extra heat when it isn't cold enough to run the heater but too cool to not run the heater.
