Mr. Bryan from Chicago IL is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need extra space on their tablets to be able to do extra work beyond just reading. We also need cases to keep our fabulous new tablets protected and safe from accidents.

Students at The Montessori School of Englewood (TMSOE) are from the South Side of Chicago. We serve students from Headstart all the way through 8th grade. Students at TMSOE are taught a Montessori curriculum and are given opportunities to direct their learning and experiences in the world around them.
For this class, students have Specific Learning Disabilities that often challenge their ability to read or perform mathematical equations in conventional manners.
They are included in the general education curriculum for a majority of the day, but spend some time in a self-contained environment with a Special Education teacher to best fit the students’ needs.
In today's day and age, technology rules the roost. Students are constantly asking to look up new information and use information to present to their class.
The Amazon Fire Tablet makes it real for students in the Englewood neighborhood!
They love to use technology, but are limited to just the cheapest forms of technology that the school can get their hands on, sadly. Ever since we were able to secure some INCREDIBLE Amazon Fire Tablets, we wanted to get SD Cards for the students, so we could expand the space available to the students on their tablets. I am also requesting that we receive funds to buy protective equipment for the tablets as kids will be kids!
We want to make it so that our kiddos can learn to do things like present information they have learned, become better information seekers, and become educated consumers of the knowledge all around them, and with your donation, I hope we can make that dream come true!
