Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students come from many different backgrounds.
I teach 5th grade ESL, General education, inclusion class with students with autism and students with IEP. My students are Title I students. They are great students and love learning, especially when it's non-traditional learning. Our school has been focusing on STEM-related learning, with an emphasis on technology and careers, which our students just love, and I try to insert the "A" (which stands for Arts) in STEM. I feel students are more engaged that way and their minds are more open to learning.
My students are very eager to learn when they are engaged with technology.
I am hoping this project will help my students to continue to celebrate the diversity within themselves and to feel empowered to succeed even when experiencing tumultuous times.

Urgent Coronavirus Response: Help teachers get key resources to students at home.
Coronavirus has closed schools across the country.
Right now, teachers need to get supplies in the hands of students at home to keep them learning, especially in our country’s highest-need communities. I am one of the many teachers that are worried that school closings are going to hurt my students’ learning.
Which is why I believe in blended Learning integrating technology.
Help me give my students online assignments through blended learning. Due to the current health crisis, it is vital that they learn to use computers. Right now I assign work to teach, students have difficulty having assessed to technology because they were not exposed to it.
This Computer and stand will make a difference in student learning because it will enable them to continue learning even when students are not able to come to school and/or when they are unable to come to school. With the use of a Computer and stand for use at school, students will be able to learn the mandated curriculum via online blended learning. Students are highly engaged with technology and respond well with school-based programs that they will be able to learn the assigned work at home. Our world is changing and this will help students continue to learn in spite of the recent health crisis.
The mission of my school is to provide a challenging environment that promotes learning and achievement for all students. Approximately 1/3 of my students are assessing at or above grade level. The remainder of the class is performing below grade level in reading and or math. Federal regulations mandate that teachers meet the learning needs of EACH student. Having accessibility to technology, in the classroom, will aid in doing so.
