Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing and with my support, they will thrive. Many of them come from low-income households and have not had many opportunities with the world outside their small community.
Many of my students have been greatly affected socially and emotionally due to COVID-19.
Our school is a second home for them where they feel happy and safe. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager to learn and thrive.
My Project
With this project funded, personal student files and student records will be held in a safe place along (locked cabinet) with many other learning materials (books, supplies). In addition, the other materials requested in this project will help promote a more comfortable and spacious area for my students to receive their social-emotional learning which is provided one on one and in groups. Any donation goes a long way and we would appreciate any donation we will receive. I feel that the learning environment is very crucial to meet the social-emotional needs of all students.
