Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a very diverse middle school with a strong sense of community, but I cannot ignore that students are not logging in during the school shutdown.

I want to engage students with fun and exciting distance learning activities.

I am on a mission to find apps and activities that will engage the students of the 21st century.

My Project

I will use the assignments to help engage my long-distance learners.

I can use flocabulary to engage my students with hip hop lyrics that teach students about current events.

I am excited about the nearpod curriculum. I look forward to using it as an extra credit type supplement in my classroom. It is very difficult to find socio-emotional curriculum. I am hopeful that my students will continue to learn leadership development and violence prevention skills and techniques.
