My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the multiple challenges my students face, I am looking for a way to keep things simple and provide meaningful learning experiences for each one of my students. My class sizes are around 25 students per class and we tend to focus on group work more then independent work. It is our focus to development team work and the ability to work with anyone and get a job completed.

My classes become a family because of our class size and our ability to learn together.

We like to have fun together but be inspiring scientists at the same time. Our goal is to prepare our students for success and let them realize that they always have someone in their corner cheering them on. Even though I might not know each students situation at home; I know that I can provide a safe, educational, and fun learning environment.

My Project

How can I light up a classroom when discussing force and motion with a group of middle school students? With the help of generous donors like you! I have hoping to expand my students minds and allow them to build their curiosity through the hands-on experiences that the Lego Mindstorm would be able to bring into the classroom.

The LEGO Mindstorm will play a key role in providing my students with the necessary skills that they need to comprehend before they leave my classroom.

My students will be able to work within a group, work towards the same end goal, and participate in hands-on learning experiences. I would love for you to be able to be a part of this learning process in the lives of many students ranging in the sixth through eighth grade.
