My little ones are very inquisitive and eager learners. They gravitate easily to anything that is new and exciting. For a great majority of my students, this is their first time in school or being in a structured environment away from home for an extended period of time. I want them to develop friendships and relationships with their other classmates. I want my students to know that they are safe and in a positive nurturing environment.
I hope to guide and prepare my students to "think out of the box" to solve questions that may encounter.
I want them to become the best at whatever they want to be. I want to prepare them for the 21st century. My desire for them is to be lifelong learners who can express their needs and wants effectively and get along with others who are different from them. I want them to think globally and to be empathetic.
In my classroom's whole group area, I'm in need of an aesthetically pleasing place to where the children will be drawn. A place where they can meet and greet each other every morning. A place where they can have their own space and not feel so crowded.
With your support, the A Place for Everyone Calming Colors Carpet would make an ideal area where my students can congregate and have fun while learning.
I believe in active learning where positive discussions and fruitful activities abound. Movement and learning go hand in. A child's social and emotional development is learned at a very young age and having a dedicated space to sit, chat and work will help to develop this concept greatly.
