This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With our ribbons and scarves representing rainbows of hope, the scrimmage vests representing emotions and assisting with movement and directing, and your support - we will succeed!

Our students love the movie "Inside/Out", but are a little shy about sharing their emotions.

Although there is hesitation, I love that they are willing to share their anxiety and laugh while watching clips from the movie - admitting they have had those feelings before.

Many of our students are unaware of Black History facts and how that history impacts our lives today. Although they were unaware, I appreciate the undivided attention they committed while learning and the empathy they have shared along the way about facts they found unfair or unnecessary.

To remove the anxiety of talking about feelings, and the hesitation of learning black history facts our 3rd Grade students will creatively present Black History facts through a Theatrical performance. Our 3rd graders will act like the characters of the movie "Inside/Out" while sharing a few black history facts. Black history represents experiences which impact a major portion of the school's population.

Students will understand movement easier with numbers shirts. The Black History and Inside/Out backdrops will be use to accentuate our set, and bring the production to life for our audience.
