This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am teaching 2nd and 3rd grade students with Autism this coming school year and will continue supporting 4th, 5th, and 6th grade self-contained special education students. The students I will support have multiple disabilities including Severe Emotional Disturbance and Behavioral Disorders. They need hands-on, interactive learning. I want to offer them the most engaging classroom so that they will be unstoppable while achieving their goals in my class! These students need to nurture their creative spirits with hands-on activities. I want to provide cross-curricular instruction and your support will go a long way in achieving our goals!
My Project
My students have Autism and struggle with reading comprehension. They have a hard time identifying the beginning, middle, and end of a story. The LEGO Storytelling set will allow them to independently create their own masterpiece!
I want my students do be as independent as possible and the LEGO Storytelling set and Simple Machines set will give them the most independence, high engagement, interactive and fun educational activities possible!
We will be learning about simple machines in Social Studies. I would love to have this as a resource and sensory bin for my students. Interactive, engaging, and student driven activities for us!
