Help me give my students a LED Activity Table to experience the ways we can use light. Help me give my students visual schedule's with a Cricut Maker. My students with special needs need many different schedules.
I am a first year teacher with a wonderful first class. My students are special needs incorporated with a few typical peers. I have one amazing girl who is deaf. She is full of spirit and works hard. I have other students who are non-verbal, autistic, hard of hearing, and a few students with behavior needs. We all come together everyday to learn from each other. Some students are learning how to hold a crayon, some are learning how to talk, and others are learning core subjects such as math, and reading. However, with all of these different needs and levels of learning, it is hard to find supplies to meet all my students' needs.
My Project
A lot of my lesson's are made around exploring. At the preschool level, children need to explore before the true learning come through. I will use the LED Activity Table to show my students the many amazing things light can do. We use flashlights a lot in our classroom to see things in a different perspective. So, having this table gives them the opportunity to explore many objects on the table.
My classroom is labeled at the DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) class.
I will use the Cricut Maker to make the day easier for those students. The Cricut will help us make the visual schedule's my students need to make it through the day. I also have a few children who do not transition well. These realistic schedule's will help my students have a better transition. This machine will also help us make craft supplies for the children. Every day we learn through crafts. This is a great way for the children to express themselves and learn language skills for my non-verbal students. The Cricut will make learning easier and more fun!
