My Students

My group of students is currently struggling to gain motivation. They come from a diverse background of families, lifestyles, and cultures.

My classroom also consists of diverse learners with many different learning needs.

We are a fifth grade all inclusive classroom. Students are learning at all different levels. Our school uses personalized learning to help children set their own goals and be internally motivated to reach them. They are empowered to take the pace of their learning in their own hands, while being held accountable for reaching all learning targets. This helps prepare the students for the real world.

My Project

I have recently moved to a new school, and am looking for materials that will help start the year off right. These include decor items, such as a bulletin board kit, welcome sign, borders, chart paper for my easel, pencils, paper, compositions, and a dry erase marker.

Imagine walking in the first day or to open house and noticing all the colors and patterns on the bulletin boards.

This makes students feel motivated to learn. Students learn best in an environment that they feel comfortable and welcomed in, that is why I would like to have matching, fun, and inviting bulletin board.

In the school I am working in, our required list of materials includes basic items like pencils and paper. However, not all students are able to provide these things. I do not want any student to feel insufficient or worried about not being able to complete the tasks in class because they are unprepared. Each student will always have a pencil and paper in my classroom in order to be prepared for the assignments.

I, as well as the students, need to be prepared to teach them. I am currently out of easel paper. In order to model what I need the children to do, I must be able to show them. In my classroom, I always guide my children through the process.
