Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so fortunate to work at a school where students start the year eager and ready to learn! My goal is to teach them how to become independent classroom citizens, as well as successful, life-long readers.

My school is Title I, which means that most of the student population is considered economically disadvantaged.

Our students face many challenges. However, we are committed to making sure that every student has the resources needed to be successful at school and home.

My Project

The use of flexible seating and organizational skills in a classroom is so important to students’ ability to learn. By providing stools for my students to use, you will help them stay focused during the day. I will also give my students an opportunity to take responsibility of their own learning by providing drawers for them to keep their completed work to be graded. I want to provide support for my students’ learning in every way possible.

Second graders are just beginning to start exploring learning on their own and I want to help facilitate that and make it fun and achievable.
