Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love learning with hands-on materials and love using their imagination. My class loves to use our computer programs that help them learn literacy and math skills in a different way. They go to a Title I school in Las Vegas, Nevada where resources to do special activities can be very scarce. They support each other in the classroom and are always encouraging each other to do their best.
They are some of the hardest and thoughtful students that I have had the pleasure of working with.
I can't wait to see how their minds will grow as the year continues.
My Project
I chose getting iPads in my classroom so that my students will have more access to technology that they might not be able to get at home. By donating to this project it will also help them become more familiar to using a touchscreen that they will use for taking standardized state testing as well as literacy and math based programs in the classroom.
By making a donation this would be extremely helpful in getting students access to the many computer programs they can work on during independent center time.
I look forward to my students getting hands-on technology that will help them later on in the fast growing technology world.
