First grade, the grade with so many firsts! My students are so creative, expressive and full of curiosity. For many of my students, this is their first experience at school and they are so eager to learn especially with hands-on and engaging projects that stimulate their love for knowledge.
My little first graders are a very diverse group of students, coming from a variety of different backgrounds.
Backgrounds which include many ELL students, low to high socioeconomic levels, and varied levels of both skills and needs. Although they may be so different in so many ways they all have a passion for learning, growing and succeeding.
My Project
Many students in my classroom learn through hands on experience and exploration. I believe that in providing them with these Osmo materials it will give them the opportunity to think critically and enhance their learning environment by giving them different outlets for learning math, reading, writing and even coding! Students will be able to work both independently and with their peers while using these products.
This will challenge students and give them the opportunity to apply their knowledge of all things STEAM and prepare them for a technology-driven world they live in!
The Osmo materials will be a great resource to our classroom to help all students of every academic and ability level to learn and succeed from.
