Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I will be teaching an amazing third-grade class. I have a great relationship with many of these students in my class because I taught some of them in first grade. They were hard-working, curious first graders, and I know that they will be eager to learn the third-grade curriculum. My students come from diverse backgrounds with lots of life experiences and stories to tell. They are a great group of kids!

I want my classroom to be a fun and exciting place for them to learn.

I am so excited to be returning to school this year, but we will still face some challenges because of Covid. My students will be working hard to master the skills they need in their reading, math, writing, and science. At the same time, we will be learning social skills, kindness, respect, and responsibility.

Through all of this, we know that being kind and respectful to others, and having a positive attitude is a must. My third graders are going to have a fun successful school year!

My Project

I want my students to start this year with a positive attitude. I am hoping to start this school year with my students having all of the supplies they need to be prepared and ready for any lesson or activity at a moment's notice. We will have a doorbell to signal when we will be transitioning to a new activity and the items I have chosen will enable them to not only be prepared but hopefully keep their areas organized and less cluttered. Having access to the multiple resources on TPT will allow me to be prepared and organized as well.

Kids love to earn prizes!

I will be using the prizes in our class store and students will be able to earn tokens and points in order to purchase them. We will also be using the beads for incentives to read at home.
