Last year was my first year teaching; I taught kindergarten. This year, I will be teaching 1st grade, so I have the chance to teach these amazing students again! They all made me fall in love with this profession. Each one of them has such a different personality.
I will never forget the kindness one of my students showed to our principal.
One day at lunch, he asked him what his favorite soda was and ran off when he got his answer. The next day, he had two sodas in his lunch; coke for him and sprite for the principal!
Special moments like this happened often last year, from each and every one of them. My group of students is truly special.
My Project
These books will help me implement an amazing program that we are using at my school in 1st grade. The Amy Lemons reading program from teachers-pay-teachers has a multitude of activities, writing resources, anchor charts, crafts, reading comprehension checks, and more. All that we need now are the books that go with them!
With these new books, my students will be able to partake in book studies, something that is crucial in the 1st grade!
This is my second year teaching so I still do not have many good books to work with. Please help us get the books that we need for this year!
