Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school that I teach in is very diverse and multicultural. We have students who come from various districts and towns. The students vary in socioeconomic status and backgrounds. Many of my students struggle with difficult situations at home, and my classroom serves as a comfortable, constant, and safe place to learn and feel loved.

My students deserve to have a safe and fun place to learn through experiences and play.

My classroom contains 27 elementary school children who are absolutely amazing. They are in need of supplies in their classroom that help foster their love of reading and math as well as resources that help them focus.

My Project

Students learn best when they are interested in the material. One of my favorite memories from elementary school was reading the colorful and interesting issues of Scholastic Magazines. This is a gift I hope to share with my students. The Let's Find Out Magazines are made for young emerging readers to be able to explore the world from the classroom.

At the end of the week, my students will engage and participate in Fun Fridays.

The Let's Find Out Magazines will not only be an exciting addition to the day, but they will enhance and add life to the kindergarten curriculum for my eager students.
