Help me give my students the decodable readers they need to support them in their reading skills. With these readers my students can practice the phonics skills they have been taught as well as practice their fluency.

My Students

My students are eager and excited 5 to 6 year olds who come to school ready to learn. They always come with smiles on their faces and positive attitudes.

My students apply all the foundational reading skills they have learned when they are reading individually or with partners.

They get excited to choose their own books or to choose books together and find a quiet spot to practice their reading.

My students are what motivate me to teach. There is nothing better than seeing and hearing a child apply the reading skills I have taught them into their daily reading routine.

My Project

The decodable readers will be used with my small intervention groups. They will also be placed in my own personal classroom library. When my students get to shop for books this collection will allow them to have more options and provide more opportunities to support them in their early reading skills.

A classroom rich in literature that supports young readers is a classroom that builds a love for reading.

As my students continue to learn specific reading skills and strategies it allows them to access more and more literature. When they start to be successful in reading that is when the magic happens!
