Dr. Suess said, "You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book." My wonderful 4th grade students would love the opportunity to read the Sunshine State Books.
My kids have a wide range of abilities, some are high achievers and some struggle to get through each day.
They all try so hard and want to be the best student they can. They are all loving children that I am so blessed to teach each day.
My Project
My students love to read. Each year the state of Florida puts out a list of 15 titles, we call them the Sunshine State Books. My kids love to read these books. The school provides incentives to read these books. The students must read the book and be able to pass a quiz on the book. The more they read, the more opportunity they will have to take the quizzes and be able to earn prizes and possible attend the end of year Sunshine State Book party.
We only have a few sets of these book in our school library, so students are waiting to be able to check out these books.
Having our own set of the Sunshine State Books will allow students access to these books. They could pass the books on to other classmates, instead of waiting for books to be returned to the library and hoping they check it out before someone else gets there.
We would love to have our own set of the Sunshine State books. They will be put to good use and be read many times in our classroom.
