My students are an active, curious bunch of second graders. They start every day with P.E., both to get their energy out and to activate their brains for learning. They love to run, play games, and have a lot of fun together as they exercise.
After this vigorous exercise time, my students are much more able to focus on their academic tasks for the day.
They love Science, Math, and learning about other places and times. They ask lots of questions and are constantly drawing conclusions about their world.
My Project
Sets of balls, jump ropes, and other P.E. equipment will allow my students to work in small groups and individually., They will learn and practice both the rules and skills for soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, foursquare, and jump rope, among other activities.
Most of all, they will work to build strong, healthy bodies, through a daily habit of exercise.
Sets of balls and other equipment will allow students to work on skills in small groups, so they'll have more turns with the equipment.
Bags will help us store the equipment, to make it easier to use and put away!
