I am blessed to have 18 energetic, fun, and loving students this year! Our classroom is very diverse with many different backgrounds, which has expanded the opportunities for learning new things.
My students are inquiry-based learners who seize the opportunity to learn new things everyday.
By learning through play, my students have become really great problem solvers who enjoy making sense of the world around them.
My students are truly an amazing group of kiddos who genuinely care about one another.
My students are eager to get outside and play! They will get a chance to make play meaningful and fun. By using the river stones, my students will be able to create obstacles as they hop from one stone to the next. The step-a-logs will encourage stability and balance as well as help my students become more aware of controlling their bodies.
They will also get a chance to see how well they can balance as they teeter back and forth on the balance boards while strengthening their leg muscles and focus.
By adding a parachute to our outdoor time, my students will learn how to work together as a team and strengthen their upper body.
The parachute will help improve their hand-eye coordination. They will also get a chance to play kickball, practice catching and tossing, or just kick a ball around the playground with the use of the playground balls. They could use the cones to create obstacles for them to kick the balls by weaving in and out of the cones.
