Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are going to change the world. They have big dreams, but as a school, we sometimes lack the means to turn these dreams into reality. My students live in a vibrant community that is rich in culture, despite lacking economic resources.
My students are diverse leaders, leading change in the school and community as they advocate for LGBT, immigrants, women, and people of color’s rights.
I believe in my students, and am committed to providing them with the same resources that students at the most affluent schools receive.
My Project
My students are very actively involved in sports, clubs, academics, and community organizations. Planning and scheduling is a skill that they would benefit from, and it is my goal to provide them with supplies to help them visually organize and plan their weekly and monthly schedules. This will allow them to set goals, and prioritize how they spend their time.
By teaching my students about organization and time management skills, they will be able to achieve their personal, academic, and financial goals successfully.
