Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I work with are in a low-income area, with not many resources readily provided for them. They want to learn and do well, but unfortunately, sometimes their circumstances do not allow for it. Many of my students are new to the country and are ELL students. They come from families where English is not often spoken. For many of my students, their first experience in America is in my class.

My students are very special and unique because they not only have to learn to adapt to living in a new country, but they also need to figure out how to be educated in an American school.

My Project

My students need to get organized. These daily student planners will help them to do just that.

The daily planners will help the students to organize their homework and school assignments by day and date.

It also allows them to organize their assignments by class subject. This will make it easier for the students to remember what books to bring home for homework, what projects are due in the future and what tests are coming up. Many of my students have issues with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity which often affects their ability to stay focused and organized. The daily student planner will be a great addition to helping these students be successful!
