My students need a mobile teaching cart, and a count down timer. This will give opportunities for interactive and hands-on instruction timer software, and a VGA adapter.

I am a Special Education Resource Room teacher in Brooklyn. I teach a group of thirty-five students with disabilities throughout the week in first through eighth grade. My school is a Title I school, and approximately 97% of its students receive free lunch.
Throughout the school day, I pick up students and bring them to the Resource Room for small group academic intervention in reading, writing, and math.
I teach six-year-olds through thirteen-year-olds, everything from the alphabet to pre-Algebra! The only thing all these groups of students have in common is their limitless energy and love of hands-on instruction!
This summer the Resource Room was outfitted with a SMART Board! In order to maximize its benefits and incorporate this tool into instruction as often as possible, I need your help to obtain a mobile teacher cart, visual timer software, and a VGA adapter that will be used in conjunction with the SMART Board and our iPad. The mobile cart will be used to store general classroom supplies like paper, pencils, and markers for easy access. This cart also has a podium-style angled top which will serve as the perch for our laptop which we connect to the SMART Board. The Time Timer will turn our SMART Board into a countdown clock, so visual learners will see exactly how much time they have left to finish an assignment. The adapter will be used to connect our existing iPad to the SMART Board.
With your kind donation, my students will be able to work on their reading, writing, and math skills on our new SMART Board and classroom computers on a daily basis.
By providing us access to a mobile cart, visual timer software, and the VGA adapter, you will be providing students with disabilities with many opportunities for interactive and hands-on instruction!
