Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember what it was like trying to organize binders, notebooks, and folders? Papers went missing, homework was put in the wrong folder and it was harder to succeed. And now all of that is going to change for my 7th grade students, thanks to the Interactive Student Notebook!
It is my privilege to teach the most interested and eager students!
They come to class with a thousand wonderful questions. But as the majority of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, their cultural experiences do not always leave them equipped to organize and stay on top of their learning. Too often I see them struggling with simply keeping track of their notes and classwork. In turn, they get frustrated and loose enthusiasm in what we're learning!
My Project
Providing the notebooks, crayons, glue, tap and pencil pouches will allow us to set up and maintain our Interactive Student Notebooks. The Interactive Notebook not only helps students build their organizational skills, but it enables them to take ownership of their learning. Because students are actively involved and both the left and right brain are engaged, the Interactive Notebook allows students to make their learning meaningful and long-lasting.
By supporting this project you will enable my students to learn more deeply about the Medieval World in an exciting and memorable way.
My students will be a part of their learning in a way they never have been before. In addition to their learning, you will help my students build organizational skills that will last a lifetime as they see their hard work turn into success.
