This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is a Title I school, meaning that the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I am a third grade math teacher at this school and share 75 students with two other teachers. My students are fun loving, smart, creative, and adventurous, especially when it comes to learning. My students are extremely hard workers, they enjoy reading and learning new things every day.
My Project

Organization is an extremely important tool in learning and in life.
This project includes items that will keep my students and I get organized, such as a student mailbox that will help organize each student's handouts and assignments, as well as simple table caddies to organize supplies needed for the day. I want to provide my students with structure as well as organization, since those two things go hand and hand. With having different routines in place, certain items on this project will implement structure in my classroom: a doorbell to signal the students to line up, a LED night light to notify me if a student is in the restroom, and Post-it notes to have a daily mental check in with my students!
