My students need an organized teacher. I feel I can not effectively teach my students unless I myself become more organized. WE need pencils, markers, and more.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first graders are wonderful, and imaginative thinkers! They love to explore and experience hands-on challenges. They are always ready for new experiences!
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, I watch my students struggle with being prepared for class.
They face tough circumstances outside of the classroom that can carry over to school. Through all of this, my students are talented, creative, and exceptional.
They persevere and don't give up when things get tough. They love to solve problems and are so proud of themselves when they finally understand a topic. I am so proud of how far they have come this year! What an amazing thing to see our students blossom right before our eyes!
My Project
In our classroom the mailboxes will be immensely beneficial for our time management. Students will no longer need to keep their work in their desk. They will now have a place to store them for parent communication. They will you the dry erase markers at their desk to cut out some of the paper when we are practicing a skill.
In my classroom, the students rarely bring their own supplies so they rely on classroom sets.
The headphones will allow each student to be able to use their IPad and truly focus on their assignments. The other school supplies will help those students who come to school without their supplies. Help us have hands on experiences. The counters will allow them to practice their math skills with manipulatives that will be nicely stored in our storage boxes.
